Secene Lentz

Secene Merriman Lentz was born on March 1, 1922 in Ava Missouri to Boyd Merriman and Treacy Fox Merriman. She passed from this life on Saturday, April 20, 2013 in Stillwater Oklahoma having reached the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 20 days. She moved to Oklahoma at the age of 5 and on October 14, 1942 she married Jacob “Tom” Lentz. Tom preceded her in death on February 10, 2000. They ranched most of their lives, except from 1975 until early 1980s when they spent time in the State of Washington farming grapes. Secene is survived by: 2 Sons:Tommy Lentz & his wife, Judy, Pasco, Washington Roger Lentz, Pawnee, Oklahoma 6 Grandchildren:Jovonne Lentz, Pasco, Washington Jared Lentz, Pawnee, Oklahoma Mayke Brenna & her husband, Ron, Havre, Montana Bart Lentz & his wife, Jessica, Heppner, Oregon Jeff Lentz, Pawnee, Oklahoma Jamie Lentz, Edmond, Oklahoma 5 Great Grandchildren:Nate, Keegan & Emerson Kennelly, Havre, Montana Jake & Kodie Lentz, Heppner, Oregon Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Besides her husband, Tom, she was preceded in death by her son, Marvin; sister, Sue Osborn; brothers, Frank Merriman, killed in World War II, Audrey Rathbun, and Charlie Merriman. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma with Rev. Tom Scott officiating, under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 900 Sixth Street, Pawnee, Oklahoma, 74058.
