Tom Knife Chief

Thomas Elton Knife Chief was born on March 16, 1948 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to John Abbott Knife Chief and Lois Morris Knife Chief. He passed from this life on Sunday, November 9, 2014 in Pawnee, Oklahoma having reached the age of 66 years, 7 months, and 24 days. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter-day Saints, and was an Educator of the Pawnee Language, history, and culture. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy Reserves. Thomas is survived by his children, Marcus, Eagle, and Suzanne, and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Montana, Daniel, Aspen, Talon, Blake, Randell, and Devon; two brothers, Steve Knife Chief, and Charles Knife Chief, plus numerous nieces, nephews, and companion, Jean Rice. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lois Knife Chief, brother, John, and son, David. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Pawnee Tribal Roundhouse, Pawnee, with Rev. Jordan Kanuho officiating. Interment will be at North Indian Cemetery, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
