Tommy "Casper" Dewayne Ryan, resident of Pawnee, Oklahoma, passed from this life on July 19, 2013 having reached the age of 56 years and 5 months. Tommy was born to Earl Leroy Ryan and Dorothy (Hadley) Ryan on February 5, 1957, in Wann, Oklahoma. He moved to Pawnee, with the family in 1968, when his father was transferred to open the new rock quarry for Stewart Stone. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Pawnee. Tommy loved to hear a good joke and a good story and could tell a few of his own. He was an avid softball player with his OG&E co-workers. He loved to play, watch his sons play soccer. Tommy took karate classes with his son T.J. Tommy enjoyed photography, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and co-workers. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved his family dearly, and was willing to do anything he could to help anyone in their time of need. Tommy was a member of the Pawnee High School class of 1975. After graduation, he worked for Stewart Stone as an equipment operator. He began work as a truck driver for the Cimarron Turnpike in 1977. In June 1978 he started work for OG&E at the Sooner Power Plant North of Pawnee. He transferred to the OG&E Mustang Power Plant where he worked as an Operator. He continued to work for OG&E until retirement after 35 years of dedicated service. Tommy retired on June 1, 2013, and moved back to Pawnee to be closer to his family. Tommy is survived by his wife, Christine (Patton) Ryan; Father and Mother, Earl and Dorothy Ryan of Pawnee; three siblings, Earl "JR" Ryan Jr. and wife Cheryl and Jerry Ryan and wife Peggy of Pawnee, and Glenda (Ryan) McClure and husband Johnny of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two sons, Otis Ryan and wife Anita of Pawnee, and Staff Sergeant T.J. Ryan and wife Shawna of Fort Jackson, South Carolina; step-children, LeRoy, Tyson, Jesse and Heather Patton of Oklahoma City, and Amber Draper of Wytheville, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Kegan Ryan of Oklahoma City, River Bibbs of Ponca City, Candis and Kaylee Ryan of Pawnee, Christopher, Dewayne and Rachael Ryan of Pawnee, Brannon and Anthony Ryan of Fort Jackson, South Carolina; and step-grandchildren, Mystic Lynn Brown, Mikaylia Draper, and Devin Draper, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Daniel Paul Ryan, and two sons, Daniel Leroy and Fredrick Dewayne Ryan, and one step-grandchild, Hayden Patton. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 2:00 P. M. on July 27, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. His remains were laid to rest in the Hallett Cemetery.
