Virginia Wabaunsee Primeaux

Virginia Wabaunsee Primeaux was born on November 10, 1924 in Fairfax, Oklahoma to William Wabaunsee and Rose Kirk Pipestem. She passed from this life on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in Pawnee, Oklahoma having reached the age of 89 years, 1 month, and 16 days. She graduated from Haskell Institute. She married Burgess Primeaux on September 5, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1972. They moved to Pawnee from Fairfax in 1946, and she worked as a Dietician for the Pawnee Indian Health Services. Virginia is survived by: Children:Burgess C. Primeaux, Ponca City, Oklahoma Kathleen Leadingfox, Pawnee, Oklahoma Michael Primeaux, Pawnee, Oklahoma Paul Primeaux, Shawnee, Oklahoma Lora Taheri, Nashville, Tennessee Gina Sheppard, Pawhuska, Oklahoma Angela Primeaux, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 21 Grandchildren Plus many great grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, William Wabaunsee and Rose Kirk Pipestem; siblings, Kirk Boone, William Wabaunsee, Patricia Pipestem, and Browning Pipestem. Osage Services will be at 8:00 a. m., with Eddie RedEagle Jr. officiating, and other services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Grayhorse Chapel, Grayhorse, Oklahoma with Rev. Lynn Eaves officiating. Interment will be at Grayhorse Cemetery, Grayhorse, Oklahoma.
