Cary Wayne Stokes was born on November 30, 1959 in Tachikawa AFB in Tokyo, Japan to Earl Junior Stokes and Vivian Light Skinner. He passed from this life on Friday, April 12, 2013 in Pawnee Oklahoma having reached the age of 53 years, 4 months, and 13 days. He moved to Pawnee from Mt. Pleasant Texas in 1971, and graduated from Pawnee High School with the Class of 1977. He worked several years as a welder at Ditch Witch in Perry, Oklahoma, and also worked in construction. He was a counselor for young men at Teen Challenge, and helped build the Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo Arena. He loved to watch Pro-Wrestling, going fishing, watching old John Wayne Movies, and other westerns. He was a very generous and loving person, and loved to tease. Wayne is survived by: Daughter:Brandi Sheree Stokes Nicolle & her husband, Jimmy, Moore, Oklahoma Grandchildren: Bailee Ryan, Austynn Nicolle, and Gunner Nicolle Mother:Vivian Skinner, Pawnee, Oklahoma Sisters:Ann Ecret & her husband, Steve, Tulsa, Oklahoma Jaden Chambers & her husband, Stacy, Ponca City, Oklahoma. Plus a number of other relatives, and many friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Earl Junior Stokes. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Poteet Funeral Chapel, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
