Winifred Eva Blackwood Obituary Winifred Eva Blackwood, 92 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on July 14, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Winifred was born on August 3, 1917 in Collinsville, Oklahoma to Robert J. and Eva Lola (Calvin) DeLung. She was a graduate of Collinsville High School, and attended Oklahoma A&M and OSU earning a Bachelors Degree. She worked for the county extension office in Pawhuska and from 1951 till 1977 she was the Home Economics teacher in Hominy Public School. She married Alfred Eugene Blackwood on June 17, 1951; he preceded her in death on August 16, 1977. Winifred was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star and the Presbyterian Church in Hominy. She moved to Tulsa in 1986. Winifred is survived by a son- Robert Parker Goldsmith and wife Vicki of San Jacinto, California; a step daughter- Sherry Ann Blackwood of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two grandsons- Robert Parker Goldsmith and wife Suzi of Tulsa, Ronald Eugene Goldsmith and wife Beverly of Nowata; four grandchildren- Jamie Thompson and husband Kyle, Kasey Parker Goldsmith, Katie Jane Goldsmith, Brian Lane Goldsmith; five step grandchildren- Erick, Jesse, Tony, Valarie, Shayla; two sister in laws- Maxine DeLung, Mildred DeLung and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Winifred was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers- Mark and Calvin DeLung. Funeral services for Winifred were held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Hominy, Oklahoma with Reverend David Jenkins officiating. Musical selections were In the Garden , How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace with Ilene Grantham as pianist. Casket Bearers were Parker Goldsmith, Ron Goldsmith Kasey Goldsmith, Brian Goldsmith, Erick Harrington and Kyle Thompson; honorary Casket Bearer was Travis Reed. Interment was in the A.J. Powell Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Francis Hospital.
